Gifts of the Finnish Forest

Finland is a paradise for berry pickers. In summer, ideal conditions are created here for the ripening of berries, since the summer days are very long, and in Lapland the sun does not go beyond the horizon at all in summer, which allows the berries to fill with juices, vitamins and nutrients. A rich harvest of berries is available to everyone who loves nature. According to statistics, even in a poor harvest year, about 100 kilograms of wild berries ripen for every inhabitant of Finland. About 50 different types of wild berries grow in Finland. About twenty types of wild berries are suitable for eating and collecting. The most famous berries are lingonberries, blueberries, cloudberries, wild raspberries, wild strawberries, cranberries, sea buckthorn and crowberries.
